Teacher Web pages

After examining a Teacher Web Page, these thoughts occurred to me:
~reasons to maintain a teacher web site
(1) what a teacher web page is,
(2) how you will use a teacher web page when you teach, and
(3) pros and cons of using a teacher web page

1) A teacher web page  is a like an online service a teacher can provide information for the students, parents, etc... 
~teacher web pages can provide an alternate method for sharing information with parents in addition to sending notes home.

2) One of the ways I will utilize a teacher web page (as a teacher) will be
~ maintianing consistancy with posting students assignments and checking them regularly.
~also the ability to keep track of absent students
~keep in contact with parents
~post my personal (but not too much) information that students and parents can reach me at.

3) The cons of this web site use would be that keeping the web site up to date constantly might be a pain. A pro to this website would be that parents can know what their children are laerning- even when their kids are tired after a long day at school- and they don't want to talk much- a mom or dad can go to the teacher website and gain an understanding of the homework assignment posted. That way the parents can offer help if they have timw.
